Hi writers,
The deadline has been extended and there are a few spots still open in my upcoming WRITING THE BODY seminar on Tuesday October 24th from 6:00-7:30pm ET.
During this hour and a half long generative (generative = you'll generate new work!) workshop I'll be guiding you through different ways of thinking and writing about your body, and other bodies in general. We'll read from a curated selection of writing about the body, we'll do some writing together and we'll learn from each other. You don't need a unique or out-of-the-ordinary body to participate in this workshop. You just need a body!
The cost is $25 sliding scale, which means depending on your current financial resources you can choose to pay anywhere from $0-$25 for this seminar. For those who have taken this class before, some of the material may be repeated, but don’t let that stop you - there will be new faces to meet and to learn from. Register here.
This workshop is in collaboration with artist Jean Gray Mohs's current exhibit Object as Vessel/Process as Catharsis which is taking place October 16th - 28th at the Greensboro Project Space. The exhibition has been organized to enable viewers to think about how the process of making and viewing art can be used to bring emotional catharsis and understanding. Along with visual art throughout the gallery, there are also workshops (including mine) for artists and writers to participate on that will further enhance their experience of the exhibition.
I hope to see you at WRITING THE BODY next week.
